    God's Own Medicine was the Mission's first album proper. Having signed to Phonogram following several successful independent single releases, the album contains their biggest hit 'Wasteland'. The album reached No in the Top 40 and quickly earns a gold certification/5(59).

    I originally bought this on LP,Album, Vinyl whatever you want to call it when it first came out nearly 30 years ago now. I went through a bit of a Goth period when i left school until 19, I also liked the Cult and All about Eve (singer Julianne Regan sang backing vocals for The Mission's God's Own Medicine album before they were signed to /5(59).

    Even though the Cult had already mastered the art of mashing goth with more traditional elements of classic rock, the Mission's debut, God's Own Medicine, was the marker for goth rock's invasion of the U.K. charts for a good chunk of the late 'acconmohorgarpfe.fronathirdasunviticbattblogcommmomy.co already made a serious dent on the top reaches of the indie charts with the singles "Serpent's Kiss" and "Garden of Delight," the Mission.

    Aug 08,  · God's Own Medicine - The Mission's debut album from , contains the singles "Garden Of Delight" (# 49 in July '86), "Stay With Me" (#30 in October '86), "Wasteland" (#11 in January '87) and "Severina" (# 25 in March '87). Re-mastered and available on gram vinyl for the first time and with a download voucher.

    God's Own Medicine is the debut studio album by the English gothic rock band The Mission. It was released in November under Mercury Records. The original LP version contains 10 songs. The CD and cassette versions had the songs "Blood Brother" and "Island in the Stream" added.

    The Mission (known as The Mission UK in the United States due to a naming clash with a Philadelphia R&B band) is a goth band formed in in Leeds, England from the splinters of the freshly-dissolved goth band The Sisters of acconmohorgarpfe.fronathirdasunviticbattblogcommmomy.co band's original lineup consisted of Wayne Hussey (vocals, guitar), Craig Adams (bass), Simon Hinckler (guitar) and Mick Brown (drums).
